Holly Powell is an Emmy Award Winning former casting director and recipient of the Casting Society of America’s Artios Award. She served as CBS Network’s Director of Casting, both east and west coasts, and as Senior Vice-President of Casting for the Greenblatt Janollari Studio in Los Angeles. Holly was also an independent casting director for many years with Holly Powell Casting, Stone Powell Casting, and Powell Melcher Casting.

Holly is the author of “The Audition Bible: Secrets Every Actor Needs To Know” which is used in several different university and drama school acting classes and she recorded the Audible audio version of both editions, 1 and 2. She co-authored her mother’s cookbook, “Mavis’ Kitchen: A Southern Cooking Lifestyle,” and is currently penning a self-help book that she describes as a “Fictional Memoir.”

As Board Vice-President and a founding member of She Angels Foundation, Holly’s passion for philanthropic giving took root. She is also co-founder of Beyond Ranch Foundation and a supporter of SANGO-Kenya, a non-profit organization training women farmers in east Africa.

Holly holds a BFA in Drama from The University of Texas, Austin and through Holly Powell Studios, she teaches her audition workshops at many different drama schools and universities around the country. She won the Backstage Readers’ Choice Award, ‘Favorite Audition Technique Teacher,’ two years running.
